Jubileum is a whirlwind that sweeps its listeners into the sway of surging waves. Its ever-growing energy culminates in a jubilant celebration of ensemble performance! Children and young people possess the power for curiosity, open-mindedness, and a capacity for wholehearted abandon, which is often envied by those who call themselves adults. Jubileum harnesses this power of youth, uniting it with a level of mastery which only the experiences of maturing can bring. The work was a joint commission by the Joensuu City Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.
